 The Starting Point
Ignite Christian Academy (ICA) is an accredited online school serving K–12 students with faith-based, teacher-supported education.
The problem: The existing site had no coherent path for prospective families, and it showed up in three ways:
Journey. No clear path from discovery to enrollment. Families had to call in to complete tuition payment, creating real bottlenecks that caused some to abandon enrollment entirely.
Hierarchy & Navigation. Critical information (tuition, curriculum, enrollment steps) all competed for equal weight. No hierarchy.
Positioning & Content. Research identified Christian Worldview as the primary deciding factor, yet the site wasn't leading with it. Additionally, ICA's most compelling qualities, clubs, live sessions, community, were buried or absent entirely.
The solution had to cover the complete journey: first impression, program and tuition research, application, enrollment selection, payment, and a return to the LMS for course registration. All of it on a new platform.
What the team handed me: Research mapped where the journey broke down and the order families ask their questions. Who is ICA. What does it offer. How does enrollment work. That sequence became the spine of the site.

Navigational updates that mirror how families think
The navigation answers them in order
🠖 Experience ICA. What is this place, and is it right for us?
🠖 Enrollment. How does this work, and what does it cost?
🠖 Curriculum. What will my child actually learn?
Over 10 months as sole designer, I served as connective tissue between UX research, product development, marketing, and school community. I translated research artifacts into design solutions across the full platform, from strategy through final visual execution.
